Just remembered its a bank holiday

I have no idea what the weather is like in the UK, I hope you have had a good Bank Holiday. I didnt get hardly any sun today, ended up just topping up the batteries with an hour’s run of the engine. Gets mighty warm down below after that, as I run the heater, which helps to keep the alternator a little bit cooler. I’m ready for a bit of sleep.

Eating Cake in the Wind

A extremely nice guy called Martin, who drove all the way from Germany to watch me start the Global Solo Challenge, gifted me a very large cake and some fruit before I left on Saturday. I’ve just had my second big slice of the cake, which is very heavily dusted with icing sugar. My tip of the day is do not eat this cake if you are likely to get a gust of wind, like I did and now have icing sugar all over my face.

A quiet night with a good bit of sleep

I manged to clear out my bunk and made it into it last night. A quiet night, same sail plan as the wind was constant all night. Only two big boats to keep an eye out for and one of them Star First actually adjusted course for me. You could see on the AIS tracking went to STB 5 or 6 deg the after passing moved back to its original course. Very thoughtful Have a lovely day, catch you all later Daf big smile
