Coastal #Navigation is actually more dangerous than offshore, if you’re not paying attention to those depth contours, you could put your boat on the reef pretty quick!🪸
So how to we do this without GPS?
By using #Transits ⛰️
I can choose two prominent objects on my horizon, if I draw a straight line connecting them I know that I will be on that line! You can use anything! Different islands, palm trees, telephone poles etc
Use two transits at once to confirm your location!
