It’s incredibly special to know that a little of Charlie’s spirit lives on in the boat that will carry me around the world.
Here’s to Charlie, the boats he helped bring to life and the legacy he leaves behind.
Fair winds, Charlie ❤️

I’m attempting to become the first Zimbabwean and the first person from a landlocked African nation to sail solo, non-stop around the world in the @globalsolochallenge 2027. Through Notes on a Boat, you can donate £10.30 (or more) and leave a message that I’ll carry around the world aboard Shamwari. Your note will travel in a waterproof canister and appear on the live race tracker once the journey begins. Comment ZIMBO to leave your note, donate or explore sponsorship opportunities. Every contribution helps get Shamwari to the start line 🇿🇼⛵
