It’s been busy day

Sun Sep 03 2023

As I got close to Santa Cruz I picked up a mobile signal. A bit of frantic
catching up ensued. Managed to have 3 phone calls and download 7.5 GB of
various podcasts. And also got a pdf of a Rugby World Cup wall chart, which
I can keep a track of what’s going on. All I need to do now is pester
someone for the scores.

Cheers Daf :Better update tomorrow, I still need to charge the boat
batteries, check weather and get something to eat

As the saying goes “I finally got off the pot”

I’m sure that most of you have worked it out for your selves, however here
it is in black and white , I’m going to keep all of the Canaries to port. I
did not like the look of the light lees south of the islands, and also the
wind I’m currently is lighter than the forecast. So over the top of Santa
Cruz it is; and next target is The CABO VERDE islands

Cheers folks Da

Short Introduction To Big Black Clouds

Sun Sep 03 2023

Early evening yesterday, just after watching an episode of All or Nothing –
The New Zealand All Blacks, arrived a big black cloud. From trundling long
nicely, bang, a 60 deg wind shift, rain and wind speed up about 5 or 6 knots
to the 16/17 mark. The increase in wind speed and rain not an issue however
the wind shift upsets everything. Did not take long to pass over and normal
service resumed after about 3 or 4 hrs. More of these clouds to encounter on
the way South.

Happy Sunay morning Daf
