Francois Gouin finds wind at the end of the tunnel

Francois Gouin finally seems to have found the favourable winds he needs to sail to A Coruna. The French skipper has had some difficult routing choices to make in the past week when the Azores high blocked his path north on the traditional route around it. The high pressure transformed into a wide ridge and Francois wisely opted for what looked like an unfavourable tack to the south-east which however allowed him to reach the northwesterly flow of wind and start routing to the finish. With 1200 miles to go and seemingly favourable conditions all the way Francois can reasonably expect to take 6-7 more days to finish. He is forced to sail with 3 reefs due to his problems with the mainsail so we tentatively estimate his arrival for the 4th of April, give or take one day.
