It is with regret that the Global Solo Challenge has to announce the official retirement from the event of Juan Merediz on Sorolla. The skipper had faced several technical issues since the start of the event and especially issues with his autopilot which, despite a first successful repair at anchor in Sagres, become userviceable a few days later on November 6th. Juan has safely returned to Spain under sail and without needing any assistance.
