Description
HISTORY
Built in 1992, designed by Gilles Vaton, this boat is an unique aluminum prototype. In 2018 for the Route du RHUM, the boat underwent a complete refit under the supervision of this architect Gilles Vaton. Nicolas Magnan and Javelin45 finished 8th after 23 days at sea in Class Rhum MONO of the 10th Route du Rhum. The boat, updated to RSO 1 regulations, will have to undergo some modifications, in particular to the watertight compartments in order to be able to enter the Global Solo
Challenge race.
On the other hand, the modifications made to the keel and the sail plan make Javelin a serene and balanced boat for solo sailing. The electronic equipment is already duplicated with a NKE central and a Garmin central.
Nicolas MAGNAN Skipper of the boat can with great pleasure advise seeing the future skipper accompany for this fantastic race, in order to optimize the boat and for a quick start in all sailing conditions.
